Hayling to Wittering might only be 3.5 miles as the crow flies, but it took me nearly 20! I cycled down the Billy trail to the Ship on the bridge. Then I went round the harbour towards Emsworth along the shoreline. I followed the main road for a few miles before turning right to do a loop down Chidham and then to Bosham. At Bosham Hoe I got the footpassenger ferry across the the harbour on to West Wittering. Fantastic weather great route. Met the kids in Phils VW Camper Van in the car park and got a lift back.
